Three Colours: Red (Krzysztof Kieslowski, France, 1994)

  • The Lord Palmerston 33 Dartmouth Park Hill London, England, NW5 1HU United Kingdom (map)
A masterful film of chance encounters, parallel lives, mysterious coincidence, and mutual wonderment.
— Jeff McCord, Austin Chronicle

Part-time model Valentine (Irène Jacob) meets retired judge, Joseph (Jean-Louis Trintignant), after accidentally running over his dog. Through subsequent veterinary interactions, Valentine discovers the judge gets his kicks listening in on his neighbours' phone conversations, and a strange bond duly develops… As one might expect from Kieslowski this is an intellectually rich portrait of interconnected lives.
