Live and Let Die (Guy Hamilton, UK, 1973)

As fastpaced and snappily entertaining a piece of claptrap as we have a right to expect.
— Christopher Hudson, The Spectator

In tribute to Roger Moore (1927-2017)

Macca! Hard drugs! Voodoo! Sexy fortune tellers! Bloody great snakes! And so much Moore - Roger, Moore - in his first outing as James Bond. Great support comes from Jane Seymour, Yaphet Kotto (!) and the also-recently-departed Clifton James (1920-2017) as Sheriff Pepper - making this a double-tribute.

STOP PRESS! This screening will be introduced by Madeline Smith AKA Roger Moore's First Ever Bond Girl, who also worked with Roger Moore (& Tony Curtis) in The Persuaders. Screening will also include a Q&A with Madeline Smith.

We'd like to start the evening a little bit earlier than usual - or at least on time! - so we'd greatly appreciate it if you could please try to get to your seats by 7.45. Many thanks.

Because we're expecting the screening to be busy and space is limited we've decided to make it Members Only. But non-members are more than welcome to come along and join on the night. A year's membership costs £15 and includes free entry to all our screenings and 20% off food on a Film Club night, 10% off on non-Film Club nights.
