With His Bobness’s blessing Todd Haynes (Carol, Safe) made the ultimate Dylan movie without featuring a single character called ‘Bob Dylan’. Instead, the likes of Heath Ledger, Christian Bale, Ben Whishaw, Richard Gere and, most remarkably, Cate Blanchett embody a different aspect of the musician's life and work. Freewheelin’ is an understatement.
