Birdy - Film Club at Home # 20

“A very strange and beautiful movie.”
— Roger Ebert

In tribute to Alan Parker 1944 - 2020

Our original plan was to choose The Commitments as our tribute to Alan Parker. You'll have to watch Nigel's introduction below to hear why that didn't happen. Instead, we've picked this overlooked gem from 1984 about two childhood friends played by young Matthew Modine and Nicholas Cage who reunite after the Vietnam War.

We’d love to hear what you think of Birdy once you’ve seen it. Leave a comment here, send us an email, Tweet us @tpfilmclub or post on our Facebook or Instagram pages.

Where can you watch Birdy?

Birdy is available to rent from Amazon, Google Play, YouTube and iTunes.
