Alien - Film Club at Home # 14

In tribute to Ian Holm 1931 - 2020

“After 40 years, this sci-fi horror masterpiece still feels lethally contemporary.”
— Peter Bradshaw, the Guardian

Ian Holm is an essential part of the ensemble cast that’s just one of the ingredients that make Alien (Ridley Scott, USA, 1979) such an enduring classic. The original is a film that’s always fun to rewatch and if you’ve never seen it, make this your excuse to rectify that omission in your movie knowledge.

Watch Nigel’s introduction below where he enthuses about why he loves the film as well sharing some behind-the-scenes details about Alien’s production. Underneath the video are related links, including to where you can stream the film.

We’d love to hear what you think of Alien once you’ve seen it. Leave a comment here, send us an email, Tweet us @tpfilmclub or post on our Facebook or Instagram pages.
