Paul Newman stars as Donald ‘Sully’ Sullivan, sixty-year-old wastrel, whose life of of unchecked self-indulgence is disrupted by the unexpected arrival of his estranged son, Peter (Dylan Walsh) and grandchild. Suddenly forced into taking some responsibility for his actions, Sully gradually begins to reassess his life. Adapted from Richard Russo's novel of the same name, Nobody's Fool is an utterly charming slice of small town Americana, with a supporting cast that includes Jessica Tandy, Bruce Willis, Melanie Griffith and the late great Philip Seymour Hoffmann.
