  • The Lord Palmerston 33 Dartmouth Park Hill London, England, NW5 1HU United Kingdom (map)
Scorsese’s orchestration of thematic development, narrative structure, and visual style is stunning in its detail and fullness; this 1985 feature reestablished him as one of the very few contemporary masters of filmmaking...

Screened in celebration of Martin Scorsese’s 80th Birthday.

Martin Scorsese's most manic film sees New York yuppie Paul Hackett (Griffin Dunne) endure the worst night of his life after a spontaneous date with an attractive woman he meets in a diner spirals out of control. Rosanna Arquette plays the woman who sets the whole Kafka-esque nightmare in motion - and there’s brilliant support from Teri Garr, Catherine O’Hara, Verna Bloom, Linda Fiorentino, John Heard and Cheech & Chong. After Hours is low-key lost gem of a movie from one of the greatest. Happy Birthday Marty! sez we.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS SCREENING IS ON MONDAY 5 DECEMBER, NOT TUESDAY 6 NOVEMBER.
