In an attempt to retain some sense of normalcy during these challenging times, we’re going to attempt to get everyone watching a film each week.

We’re starting with what we originally had scheduled for Tuesday 24 March, Vittorio De Sica’s neorealist masterpiece Umberto D. In true film club style, there’s even an introduction from Nigel which you can watch below.

The film is widely available online. More details underneath the video.

How can you watch Umberto D?

Someone has uploaded the full film to the Daily Motion website. You can see that here for free.

It is also available to stream via Amazon Prime and the BFI Player for subscribers to those services.

You can also rent or buy the film from iTunes.
